The Band is busily preparing for its first concert of the New Year, the annual Spring Concert at
Lancaster Mennonite High School on Sunday, March 14 at 2:00 PM.

Mezzo-soprano Madelyn Wanner hails from New Holland, Pennsylvania. Ms. Wanner grew up playing the flute in the New Holland Band, and gained her first experiences as a vocal soloist with the group. She is a recent graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University. Operatic credits at Peabody include the role of Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, The Child in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les sortiléges, Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, and Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. Ms. Wanner recently made her debut with the Baltimore Concert Opera singing Siebel in Gounod’s Faust, and Hansel in Hansel and Gretel. Currently Ms. Wanner is pursuing graduate studies in the Maryland Opera Studio at the University of Maryland. |
